We are so much alike, it is sometimes uncomfortable. The parts of me that I have spent 25 years trying to get rid of or hide, I see in her, and she sort of nonchalantly remarks in me. Damn you, I think, but don't really mean it -- and it makes me feel naked -- naked being a state that is not necessarily a bad thing with your lover, though of course it is in a crowd.
