Should have been cramming for finals but I was sleeping entangled with the sun streaming through the curtains at noon ... must go get the kids from Matt's to take them for ice cream; it's mother's day ... just five more minutes ... when I try to move, to open my eyes, she tells me, "no," and "shhh" and I don't argue. I think Heaven is somewhere between awake and asleep, twined like ivy around the person you love, and "no, shhh" were the the only words I wanted to hear, right then.
